You Cannot Live Above Your Attitude

Ephesians 4:31-32.”Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you with all malice; and be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another”.

Attitudes are the most important elements of holiness. If a person has the proper attitude towards God and his fellow man, his holiness will be manifested in all areas of life. If he does not have the right attitude, no amount of outward holiness will compensate for the lack of inward holiness in the sight of God. In other words, “you can not live above your attitude. Our attitudes reflect our inner self.  Our attitude puts on display our “inner man”. Wrong attitudes are the first signs of back-sliding and are inevitable components of hypocrisy.

Love is the basis attitude that distinguishes true Spirit-filled believers from the world. All the law and prophets can be summed up in two commandments: “Love God and Love your fellow man”. Love is the force that causes us to walk in obedience to God’s word. In fact, our love for God is proved by how carefully we are in how we treat one another.

Love one to another is the ultimate test of true Christianity. If we do not love our brothers and sisters, we do not love God. It is easier to have an attitude of LOVE than to have an attitude of HATE.

“You can not live above your attitude”. Our attitudes should always, say to us, “People Matter”.

Much Love
