The mission of Jesus Christ was to minister. Jesus’ method of ministering – Jesus had but one method in reaching people: He “went out” after people. He did not sit back and wait for people to come to Him. “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which is lost’. Luke 19:10
We are foolish to sit back and wait for people to come to us. The vast majority will not come. They do not know to come; we have to go out after them. The very same method is given to us in the Great Commission. “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the son, and of the Holy Ghost; teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and , lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the world. Amen.” Matthew 28:19-20
Jesus was a people person. People was attracted to Him. Wherever He went people followed Him. Jesus attracted crowds. People was eager to see, or find out, what he was going to do next. Jesus stirred people interest. Jesus caused excitement in people. “People Matter” to Jesus. Jesus died for people. God the Father also loved them. Do you love them also?
The greatest asset of the COOLJC is its People – the saints of the most High God. People are God’s provision for “Vision”. People must be first in ministry. Ministry is about people. Things depreciate over time – but people who are human who are human beings, created by God, do not.
The cross is the greatest testimony to the truth that “people matter”; created in the image of God and His likeness, created to live forever and created and given the power of choice. You matter so much to God, that He gave His only begotten Son for you. Jesus took your life and He gave you His.
There should be no question that you matter to God and so do “all” people. So let us not judge or condemn other people. God did not judge and condemn you. He saved and delivered you because “People Matter“.
Much Love
