APOSTLE JAMES MAYE
Presiding Apostle of Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ
Apostle James A. Maye has been a part of COOLJC most of his life. In 1958 he was baptized in the name Lord Jesus Christ and received the Holy Spirit evidenced by speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gave the utterance. He has been on his Apostolic journey since then having served in numerous capacities at every level within the International organization such as junior deacon, the ranks of ministries, teacher, superintendent of Sunday School, Treasurer, Trustee, ABYPU President Diocese and Internationally, International Financial Secretary, Vice Chairman of the Catechism Committee, Executive Assistant to the late Apostle J. P. Steadman, and Apostle to the Youth. He is the Vice Presiding Apostle of the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith, Inc, the Prelate of Region VI of COOLJC which comprises Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and Kentucky. He serves as the Diocese Bishop of Indiana and Kentucky; and he also served as interim Bishop of both the Southern and Northern Michigan Dioceses. He is Pastor Emeritus of Pilgrim Church of Christ where he served for forty four years before his retirement December 31, 2020 and CEO of the Cleveland Apostolic Ministerial Fellowship which he helped to organize in 1982. Apostle Maye has conducted Leadership Seminars within various churches throughout Pentecostalism. He believes in training leaders to train their successors so that succession can be transferred as seamless as possible.
Apostle Maye is married to Mother Florence Maye and they are the proud parents of Andre, Alana, Javon, and Keonya. He loves the Lord and enjoys sharing the Word of God by every means possible. He serves the Lord and the Body of Christ as a servant and seeks only to please God in all that he does.
