Matthew 5:16. “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
The greatest compliment you can give to God is to believe Him and obey Him. God likes to make a spectacle of obedient people because He knows that they desire His favor above the favor of men. People who obey God will always be criticized by the world (and some in the church) because they keep putting themselves on public display, exposing the God that is within them.
If you don’t want to be criticized, then don’t try to do anything with your life. The moment you decide to become who you really are, people will begin to talk about you. They will criticize you, slander you, and gossip about you. Why? Because they can see the God that is in you – shining through you. Most of the world doesn’t want to see God on display because His brilliance exposes their sinfulness. Sin loves the darkness. You can’t criticize what you can’t see. If no one is talking about you, maybe it’s because you are not doing anything.
Some folk say, “Don’t rock the boat.” That’s why they are not going anywhere. “Nowhere.” People don’t want you to succeed. They want you to be a failure just like they are. If you want to do something with your life, you have got to break out of the norm, stop listening to pessimists and losers, and rise above the spirit of mediocrity.
Don’t sit back and hid the “Jesus” that is in you. Lay hold of your dreams. Set your goals high. Determine that you are going to move forward into everything God wants you to be. Don’t let anyone hold you back. Don’t let anyone tell you what you cannot do. You are full of potential and possibilities that no one knows about. Don’t deprive the world of your contributions in expanding and exposing the glory of the Most High God. The graveyards are already filled with lost dreams, untapped abilities and unrealized potential. Don’t add yours to them. Let the glory God has placed in you come out so His glory can fill the earth.
Remember “the greatest compliment you can give to God is to believe and obey Him.” You will be criticized, but God will be glorified. “Let your light shine.”
“There remaineth yet very much land to be possessed.” “People Matter.”
Much Love,
Because He Is -I am
