OUR PROGRAMS
There are three programs sponsored by the International Junior Missionary Unit to enhance the development of the members of the International Junior Missionary Unit of the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith, Inc., These programs are: (1) The One Year Bible Reading Program (2) The Entrance and Graduation Forum and (3) The Awards Program.
The One Year Bible Reading Program
The focal point of this administration is to make certain that the members of the International Junior Missionary Unit develop a strong foundation in the infallible Word of God. In keeping with this charge, junior missionaries are offered the opportunity to participate in a One-Year Bible Reading Program. Each junior missionary that elects to participate in this program will receive a One-Year Bible Reading Program package. The packet includes a: Memorandum of Instruction, Program Enrollment Form, Commitment Certificate, One-Year Bible Reading Plan, and a Certificate of Completion. Each junior missionary that successfully completes the program will receive recognition during the International Missionary Department’s session during the annual Holy Convocation. The Entrance and Graduation Forum
The International Junior Missionary Unit acknowledges the momentous occasion of young women entering and graduating the junior missionary rank. The International Junior Missionary Unit will officially welcome the young mission-minded women that are entering the junior missionary rank during a ceremony at the annual Holy Convocation. As well, those junior missionaries that are graduating the Junior Missionary Unit, to enter the social missionary status, will also be honored during a ceremony with a memorial token commemorating her years of service as a junior missionary. Award and Award Criteria
The International Junior Missionary Unit has an Awards Program to motivate and recognize junior missionaries that are serving the Lord Jesus Christ with excellence. The four awards and award criteria are: “The Handmaiden of Missions Award” will be presented to a junior missionary that has excelled in the area of outreach. The Bible says, “She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.” Proverbs 31:20 “The Elect Lady Commendation” will be awarded to a junior missionary that is growing in and serving with Christian love. The Scriptures say, “The elder unto the elect lady … And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.” 2 John 1:1,5 “The Macedonia Award” will be presented to the local junior missionary department who raises the most money to help newly established churches. “The Mother DyAnne E. Moultrie Award” will be presented to the junior missionary who has exemplified the true meaning of a missionary by displaying a lifestyle of holiness, obedience, faithfulness, prayerfulness, fasting and works in her local church.
