The International Board of Presbyters (IBOP) is a significant ecclesiastical body within the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ (COOLJC) of the Apostolic Faith, Inc. Established in 1974, the IBOP holds a prominent role as the largest organization within the COOLJC, dedicated to fostering collaboration and coordination among its members to support the overarching ministry of the Church. Key Responsibilities: - Facilitate the total ministry of the COOLJC through concerted efforts and cooperation.- Organize meetings, classes, seminars, and publications to enhance knowledge and engagement.- Implement initiatives such as P.R.O.P.H.E.T. (Presbyters Receiving Ongoing Help and Ecclesiastical Training) to keep presbyters informed, inspired, and involved.- Uphold the principles and teachings of the COOLJC while promoting unity and solidarity.- Provide a platform for knowledge-sharing, spiritual growth, and collaboration among presbyters. The IBOP serves as a vital channel for communication, learning, and spiritual development among presbyters, contributing to the strength and vitality of the COOLJC and its mission to spread the Apostolic Faith.
District Elder Willie Shy
District Elder Willie L. Shy received the Holy Ghost in 1972 under the leadership of District Elder John B. Eddington and later became a minister. Ordained as an Elder in 1982, he co-organized a Men’s Choir and eventually founded The Living Word Community Church in 1996. Over the years, he served in various capacities, including Youth Advisor, General of the Adjutant Care Core, and District Elder over the Southern District of New Jersey. Notably, District Elder Shy has held significant roles in the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Inc., serving as Chief Adjutant and currently as Chairman of the International Board of Presbyters. He is a certified chaplain, actively involved in community service, and has served as Senior Chaplain for the Willingboro Police Department. A graduate of Trenton Central High School, District Elder Shy pursued education at Philadelphia Bible University and the William L. Bonner Bible College. He holds certifications in Christian Counseling, Homeland Security Awareness, Mental Health Awareness, Crisis Intervention, and more. Retired from General Motors in 2006, he became the Pastor of Trenton Church of Christ in 2019. District Elder Shy, married to Lady Kathy J. Shy, is a proud parent and grandparent, deeply rooted in both his spiritual and community leadership roles.
